Russian hackers tried to break into the US’s top nuclear labs
Russian hacker group ‘Cold River’ reportedly attempted to hack America’s 3 top nuclear research facilities during the summer of 2022. Cold River used phishing techniques and fake login pages to trick scientists and access labs. It is unclear if the hacks were successful or what the hackers were trying to access. Cold River has previously targeted NGOs and the ex-head of the British spy agency MI6.
